2016 WDW–All-Star Movies Resort
April 6-13, 2016–When contemplating a trip to Walt Disney World, I found that one of my hardest decisions was whether to stay at a WDW resort or to stay “off-property”. I decided that for my first stay, it would be at a WDW resort and chose All-Star Music resort because it was the cheapest (tied with All-Star Sports Resort). When I had to change my arrival date to two days later, they changed my accommodations to a preferred room at the All-Star Movies Resort and I ended up paying around the same price. I didn’t complain too hard–that one was actually my favorite.
I enjoyed my stay at All-Star Movies Resort and would definitely stay there again.
The staff was welcoming, the beds were comfortable, the shower was AMAZING, the towels were larger than I had expected, the room was clean and comfortable and the grounds were beautiful and well-kept.
One of the three things on my “Must-Do in WDW” list was to roast some marshmallows and I wanted to know which locations and what hours this event was held so I could plan it into my schedule. I was not smart enough to write all this information down before I left home (and I didn’t bring internet accessibility with me). Cam and Lauri at the Front Desk went above and beyond to get one of my questions answered. Although I was not able to check this event off my list, I appreciated their genuine desire to help me!
WDW resorts have a Movie Night near their pool area most nights of the week. It starts around 8:30 pm. You can brush up on your Disney character trivia!
The resort also has an outside bar which came in handy one day when I took a Pina Colada back to my room and relaxed after a long day of exploring (OK, maybe two days)! The Pina Colada was $10.75! After pinching pennies, this was hard to swallow–but it was SO refreshing!!
